Statement

Missy S.
Abstract Expressionism is a mid-20th century artistic movement that encompasses various styles and techniques. It emphasizes the freedom of the artist to convey attitudes and emotions through non-traditional and mostly non-representational means.
Missy S. is a multimedia contemporary Swiss Artist who uses media such as photography, abstract painting, mixed media, and video installations as a communication tool to convey the basic message of her work. According to Missy S., our perception of the world around us is deeply influenced and shaped by the world itself.

Philosophers, artists, and free thinkers have been grappling for centuries with the question of what reality is. Reality is the state of things as they exist, as opposed to an idealistic or fictional conception. It includes everything that is and has been, whether it is observable or comprehensible.

Fascinated by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Salvador Dali, Gee Vaucher, and Jonathan Meese, Missy S. began combining styles and media already in her youth.
The reality and perception of an abstract mind, and the expression of reality and the world that surrounds the artist, is reflected in Missy S.'s art.
Missy S. has created works under the pseudonyms Tiamat Darkart and Helena Dunkelwelt. Her portfolio includes logo designs, illustrations and live stage visuals for musicians, bands, dj's and other artists, as well as works in the dark romantic style.
